Description

For the Annuities Center for Sales Excellence, the Manager, Planning & Analysis is accountable for reporting and performance metrics associated with learning and development including ROI, learning effectiveness, financial analysis and planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost control. Successful applicants will participate in the development of overall business metrics and scorecards to assess areas requiring additional learning and development support and will prioritize resource requirements for all learning projects and represent the Center for Sales Excellence on Annuities wide projects and teams.
Responsibilities:

¢ In conjunction with Business Intelligence, develop appropriate metrics and scorecards to assess the state of the business within a sales territory to identify learning needs and/or areas requiring improvement. Coordinate appropriate learning interventions with other members of the learning organization and identify resources required.

¢ Review and assess all projects within the learning organization to determine alignment with the direction of the function. Prioritize projects and allocate appropriate resources based on the needs of the larger business. Ensure implementation of agreed upon projects stay within scope and timeline of project plans. Participate on cross functional, Annuities wide, project teams representing the learning organization and to determine resource requirements.

¢ Partner with Annuities Communications on the messaging around all learning events, status of projects and initiatives undertaken.

¢ Evaluate all training activity and spend to determine overall ROI and impact on the business. Along with other leaders in the learning organization, establish metrics and scorecards to reflect learning activity and recommend programming changes and/or improvements.

¢ Manage department expenses for VP of Center of Sales Excellence by developing and monitoring budgets and tracking spend. Establish financial controls and reporting methodologies to comply with corporate and business requirements. Ensure billing and invoices comply with vendor agreements. Conduct financial analyses and complete short and long term financial plans to achieve the organization's goals.


Requirements

¢ Ability to work closely with other sales and distribution leaders to conceptualize the status of
the business, develop appropriate metrics and reports and influence learning strategies to
achieve desired outcomes for the organization.

¢ In depth knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis.

¢ 5-7 years experience managing projects, budgets and expenses, preferably within a sales and/or training organization.

¢ Bachelors Degree required, Master's degree preferred.

¢ Must have strong analytical skills capable of producing reports, metrics and scorecards reflecting performance and areas for improvement.

¢ Experience with preparing presentations for internal leadership as well as key external clients.

¢ Participation on cross functional teams and projects requiring strong collaboration and influence a must.
